I've never seen one outside of Europe, but the Volvo 4-series is kind of interesting, particularly the slightly-sporty 480 hatchback. I always wanted one of those.

Yes, they made the 440/460/480 and the V40 that followed after them. Nowadays the factory is owned by a Dutch bus maker who are going to make the Mini there under contract.
